Steel grating installation and construction quality problems and preventive measures

In order to comprehensively improve the quality of steel grating construction technology and minimize the common problems of steel grating construction quality, through the inventory and sorting of common quality problems in steel grating construction, it is hoped that each construction unit can make inferences about common construction quality problems based on common construction quality. Existing process quality problems and timely modification, and formulate relevant preventive measures.

1. The steel grating mounting ribs are not aligned
Preventive measures: The same batch of products should be used as far as possible for steel grating installation at the same location. Before installation, check the size. If the size does not meet the requirements, use it in a small area. Before fixing the steel grating, draw a line and adjust the alignment before welding.

2. The opening of the steel grating is not sealed
The pipeline passes through the platform steel grating without edge-sealing treatment or the edge-sealing treatment is unsightly. After the opening, the steel grating is deformed, and the center of the opening is inconsistent with the center of the pipeline (operating state), which is obviously skewed.
Preventive measures: The opening of the steel grating on the platform should be drawn according to the center of the pipeline, the outer diameter of the pipeline, and the center after the expansion and displacement of the pipeline. Use a cutting machine to cut along the drawn line and seal it in time after cutting side. Pipes can be installed after the edge has been sealed.

3. Cutting without protective measures
Preventive measures: iron plates must be laid below the platform steel grating during welding and cutting operations to prevent damage to the galvanized layer of the steel grating.

4. The steel grating is not cut as required
The steel grating for pipeline construction is not neatly cut with flame, which affects the appearance.
Precautionary measures: When the steel grating needs to be pierced through the pipeline installation, first determine the cutting position according to the center position of the pipeline and the outer diameter of the pipeline and mark it. Use a cutting machine to cut as much as possible. If flame cutting is used, it should be polished and cleaned in time before the construction of the pipe.

5. Failure to take protective measures
The equipment hoisting wire rope directly passes through the steel grating, causing damage to the steel grating.
Preventive measures: If there is a steel grating at the hoisting and hanging point of the equipment, protective measures must be taken. If necessary, the steel grating can be temporarily removed, and the installation can be resumed after the hoisting.

6. Overload damage of steel grating
Preventive measures: When stacking materials and equipment on the platform, the bottom must be leveled with square wooden pads, and the stacked items cannot exceed the design load. When scaffolding is erected on the platform, the lower part of the pole must be protected by a flat plate.
